During the operation of slitting machines, it is essential to regularly lubricate relevant components with specialized lubricating oil. This principle aligns with the maintenance requirements for automobiles and other machinery. So, should the shafts of the equipment be lubricated? Below, we provide a detailed explanation.
Each roller and corresponding component within the slitter shaft requires lubrication, typically three times per week. When workshop humidity falls below 50%, static electricity causes frequent thread breakage and snags in the warping machine. In severe cases, a single warper may spend over two hours completing one factory thread spool. After installing an oiling device on our silk fabric slitting and warping machine, we resolved the fly-off issue caused by static electricity. Now, winding a single spindle takes only 45 minutes, not only reducing labor intensity but also boosting efficiency.
Slitter Maintenance: 1. Clean regularly (pressure rollers, take-up shafts, and blades must be free of debris). 2. Power off when not in use. 3. Lubricate screws and blades frequently to prevent rust. Common Issues: 1. When changing specifications, always release the upper blade pressure before opening the blade holder to prevent blade damage. Apply rust-preventive oil or machine oil during prolonged storage. 2. Cutting materials are limited to paper products, polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), PVC, ABS, and similar materials with thicknesses under 250#. Do not use for cutting metals or other hard materials.
Apply grease to the upper and lower blade areas three times weekly. Lubricate the feed clutch mechanism. Grease the drive shaft of the toothless extruder screw, then lubricate the upper and lower moving parts three times weekly. Clean all seals in the cylinder of the battery slitter and lubricate the fish-eye area. Bearings and feed racks require lubrication every three days. When lubricating the feed shaft pins, use a grease gun after cleaning the application area. For brake linkage lubrication, fully lubricate and then move the linkage back and forth. Lubricate three times weekly and ensure thorough cleaning.
